Button Making Workshops by POPIN UK (27th Sept and 4th Oct, 2014)
POPIN UK organised four button making workshops during the 'Connections' exhibition by Orah Bradshaw and Noriko Suzuki-Bosco.
The exhibition looked at how connections are made with the people and places around us and how the process of making connections forms who you are and how you may think about things.
Embroidered fabric covered buttons were made during the button making workshops. The buttons reflected on how you connect with the place that you live. (Click here to view images from the workshops.)
The finished buttons were posted to Singapore to be stitched on to a banner with the buttons made in Singapore to form the words ' BRIGHT AS A BUTTON'. The banner was exhibited in Jurong Regional Library in Singapore from 3 December to 16th January. The buttons will be making their way back to UK at some point :)
